Looking at the subject of champion trees in three ways; firstly the raw data about what makes a champion tree (the height and diameter of each species); then an exploration of the subject and the environment (the trees, the people, and the place that is Mount Auburn Cemetery); lastly the experience of being there (an inspiring solitude).
The NYC Water Tower
For 150 years from 1840 to 2000 many things changed in NYC, the population grew from 300 thousand to 8 million, the number of water towers grew from 1 to 10 thousand, society changed and passed many milestones events. Throughout this time one thing remained constant—the design of the water towers required by every building above six floors.
